(Resolves error code 190.)

The following steps are for entry of the DES PIN Master Keys.  Master Keys and information regarding them are provided by the Host Processor.

On the Main Menu, press 7 (Key Management). View screen

Change secure passwords. On initial setup, the system requires secure passwords to be changed for Master Keys. Press ENTER at the prompt ( view prompt), then follow the process for changing passwords according to the type of keypad.

Click to select your type of keypad:

  • T7 PCI EPP or VEPP SP-06 (or higher)

  • T5 PCI EPP (heated unit with metal keys)

On the Key Management screen, press 1 (Enter Master Keys). View screen

Enter User 1 password, and press ENTER. View screen

Enter User 2 password, and press ENTER. View screen

Press 2 (Enter PIN Master Key). View screen  (For MAC key entry, press 1.)

Press ENTER to select the default setting of New Key. View screen

Enter PIN Master Key part A using the function keys and keypad schema shown on screen. View screen

Press F7 (Enter) when all of the Master Key part is entered.

Verify the check digits match those provided by the Host Processor for this part of the Master Key. If a match, press ENTER. View screen

Press ENTER when prompted to add part to existing key. View screen

Repeat steps 8-11 for part B of the Master Key.

Press ENTER when successful. View screen

Press CANCEL and proceed to Download Working Keys.
